We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our client's culinary team. The ideal candidate will take control of their kitchen, working closely with the Executive Chef to create exceptional dining experiences for their guests. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Exec Chef to plan and execute menus that showcase seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth service and maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Lead and mentor the kitchen brigade, providing guidance and support to junior chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and portioning to meet quality and portion control standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Contribute to menu development, bringing creative ideas and innovative techniques to enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a high-quality, high volume venue.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on creating visually appealing and delicious dishes.
  • Leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Creativity and a passion for staying updated on culinary trends and techniques.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
