About the role

As a Senior Data Analyst within the Data and Analytics team, you will form part of the team responsible for the development and improvement of the company’s core datasets. Your numeracy skills, thematic knowledge, and imagination will help to drive the ongoing evolution and development of the geospatial risk datasets and maximize their commercial potential. You will have the opportunity to be creative through the development of new datasets, models, and products that deliver risk intelligence to our corporate, investor and insurance clients in line with our data strategy. You will be based in London, Bath or Edinburgh and report to the Team Lead – Geospatial Risk Analytics. We strongly encourage you to write a covering letter as part of your application.

About the day-to-day responsibilities of the role

• Supporting the update cycle of the company’s geospatial risk datasets.
• Leading by example for more junior colleagues around quantitative skills, attention to detail, and quality assurance.
• Be a capable and trusted member of the Geospatial Risk Data team that can independently lead innovative projects and deliver timely, accurate results.
• Support the improvement of the datasets by synthesizing client feedback, identifying and/or creating new data sources, and implementing new approaches and methodologies.
• Supporting colleagues and clients with questions on the datasets.
• Working collaboratively with functions across the business, such as Sales, Marketing and Research teams.
