You will use your building and mathematical skills to create cabinets and furniture that meet very specific guidelines. You will always work to an exceptionally high standard and your attention to detail is of the utmost importance. In depth knowledge of all areas of cabinetmaking and joinery is essential, together with good hand and machine skills, including competent use of heavy woodworking equipment such as, but not limited to, planers, table saws and spindle moulder.

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills: 

  •  Previous experience in a Cabinetmakers Company (at least 5 years)
  • An in-depth knowledge of solid timber and veneered construction techniques.
  • The ability to work from detailed workshop drawings, being exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently, and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions.
  • Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges and side panels, always referencing shop drawings or dimensions taken from site. 
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week with an early finish on a Friday (Mon-Thurs 07:30-17:00. Friday 08:00-12:30)

Salary: Dependent on experience.
