HGV/Van Driver
We’re looking for reliable HGV and van drivers to deliver, set up and support mobile medical units across the UK.
This is a hands-on role combining driving, basic unit setup, and on-site support. You’ll be trusted to represent the company and make sure each unit is ready for clinical teams to work safely.
What You’ll Be Doing
Driving vans, rigid vehicles, and Class 1 HGVs to sites across the UK
Positioning and setting up mobile medical units on arrival
Supporting on-site operations and packing down at the end of deployment
Delivering consumables and moving units between locations
Carrying out basic vehicle checks and minor maintenance
Keeping vehicles clean, tidy, and road-ready
Completing driver paperwork and staying compliant with Drivers’ Hours & WTD
Some work will be yard-based preparing units between deployments.
Working Pattern
5 days out of 7
Occasional evenings and weekends
Regular nights away from home (overnight allowance paid)
Requirements
Full UK driving licence (HGV / Class 1 Preferable but not essential)
Safe, professional driver with a good attitude
Comfortable working away from home
Customer-focused and able to work on your own or as part of a team
Happy with hands-on work outside the cab
Ensure on site risk assessments, site surveys are conducted and all records are submitted promptly and accurately.
Desirable (Not Essential)
HGV driving experience
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
Experience – Preferable
Physical Fitness: Some of your daily roles may require physical stamina, such as the ability to lift and carry heavy items. Candidates should be capable of meeting the physical demands of the job.
Vehicle Maintenance Skills: Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting can be valuable.
Safety Record: A demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices is crucial.

Other Requirements
Working overseas includes short term trips of a maximum of 31 days at a time, but can be extended depending on the business needs.
