Talent Media is thrilled to represent a client, a prominent player in the aerospace and defence sector, with headquarters in Glasgow and additional sites across England and Poland. Our client has an exciting growth plan over the coming years, relying on exceptional talent development, enhanced organisational effectiveness, and robust people practices. Therefore, we are assisting our client in expanding their HR team.

This newly designed role will play a pivotal part in collaborating with the business leadership team to facilitate team resourcing and development. Equally essential is the alignment and integration of the people strategy across our client's various UK sites to drive the business growth plan.

We're seeking individuals with a keen ambition, adept at balancing day-to-day operational HR support with talent development and strategic people growth. This position is hands-on, requiring proficiency in several key areas, including:

  • Effective employee communication and engagement
  • Holistic management of the 'employee lifecycle'
  • Providing support to line managers, offering coaching, and overseeing ER case management
  • Ownership of reward and recognition initiatives, from policy to payroll support
  • Monitoring and reporting on HR KPIs
  • Managing external stakeholders in realms like training and recruitment
  • This is an outstanding generalist role and an ideal step for those aspiring towards an HR Director career path.

Key qualifications and experiences include:

  • Minimum 7 years of HR experience
  • Proficiency in resourcing and workforce planning
  • Demonstrable skills in employee relations and case management
  • Strong analytical capabilities with an eye for detail
  • Organisational prowess, flexibility, and excellent administrative skills
  • Prior understanding of the manufacturing sector and/or experience in multi-site management is advantageous
