Are you an experienced Technical Manager seeking a new opportunity in the red meat industry? Major Recruitment are currently seeking a talented individual to join our ever-growing client's team in Paisley. As the Technical Manager on-site, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all technical aspects of the abattoir operation to ensure compliance with BRC AA accreditation standards.
• Developing and implementing quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and meet customer requirements.
• Managing food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborating with production and maintenance teams to address technical issues and optimise processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Providing leadership and guidance to ensure that all staff are trained and competent in technical procedures and standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a technical management role within the red meat industry is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of BRC AA accreditation standards and experience implementing quality management systems.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
• Excellent communication of leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• A proactive approach to ensuring compliance and driving excellence in technical performance.
