We are looking for an energetic electrical design engineer to drive forward the development of world leading offshore technology. The successful engineer will be driven by innovation and strive to deliver excellence in everything they do.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of offshore equipment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the electrical systems that power and control various components.

This company is leading the way in the off shore equipment design and dominating the offshore engineering space. The client has won a number of projects which requires contract staffing resource. This role is for an initial 6 months starting ASAP (extensions expected)

This role is based in the Glasgow and is deemed Outside IR35.

The ideal Electrical Design Engineer will have subsea/renewables experience and a strong background in EC&I. Our client focuses on Subsea and Vessel based equipment as well as Cable Lay equipment.

The client is looking for candidates with the following experience:

• 5+ years of experience in electrical design
• Experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical
• Electrical schematic drawing
• Knowledge of the offshore/subsea engineering industry is beneficial but not essential
• Knowledge of HV and LV systems
• Variable drive systems knowledge is beneficial but not essential
