Job Title: Finance and Control Analyst
Contract Length: 12 Months

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Finance and Control Analyst to join our operator client on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective cost management, financial control, and analysis within their upstream oil and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage cost activities for non-operated gross budget, approximately 300 - 400 MGBP annually.
• Monitor Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) processes.
• Review and approve monthly accruals and billing postings.
• Participate in Joint Venture (JV) audits.
• Conduct cash flow and net operated income analysis.
• Update business cases and participate in SMV (proved reserves) processes.
• Provide input and review for cost allocation.
• Conduct variance analysis and follow up on reporting.
• Assist in budget preparation and life of field updates.
• Generate admin cost reports as needed.
Work Related Competencies:
• Demonstrated experience in upstream oil and gas operations.
• Strong proficiency in cost management and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with monthly accruals processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with challenging stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Relevant experience in finance within the oil and gas industry.
• Certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred but not required.
