We are currently recruiting for an Driver/Yard Labourer for our client in the waste management division. This is a hands on position and previous experience in a similar role is required. A driving licence is essential and a counterbalance forklift certificate would be highly advantageous. This is a permanent position with immediate start.
The main purpose of the role is supervising the special waste facility including offloading Collections and Deliveries
Main duties include but are not limited to:-
Supervise incoming and outgoing Special Waste from Transfer Station ensuring all
paperwork is correct and complete
Assist with loading and offloading of waste including use of forklift and manual assistance for any other lifting activities
Collect/prepare waste samples for Third Party Analysis
Assist with completion of Hazardous Paperwork & Labels
Co-ordinate with operator on collection/delivery of Hazardous Waste
Off Site sampling/listing/segregating/ packaging and preparation of hazardous waste
loads
Transit Van collections of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
Skills/Experience
Have a working knowledge of Waste Management Legislation
Dangerous Goods Chemical Awareness Training (Training Provided, experience not
essential) Full Driving Licence
Forklift Licence (Training Provided, some experience advantageous)
