FPS are recruting for Mobile Technicians (Environmental) to start with one of the UK's largest contractors on a permanent basis.

Duties:

• To carry out the following works in accordance with the requirements of ACOP L8, BS6700 and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations:-

• Hot and cold water temperature monitoring
• Shower head cleans and disinfections
• Calorifier base flushing/calorifier temperatures, including flow and return
• Calorifier internal inspections
• Water sampling
• Tank and down water services disinfections/chlorination
• Dead-leg removal
• Cooling tower clean and disinfections
• Drawing of water systems schematics and the preparation and completion of job sheets
• TMV Testing
• Improvements/upgrading of domestic systems to fall within A.C.O.P L8 guidelines
• Conducting Legionella Risk Assessments and carrying out monitoring for the control of legionella
• Additional duties such as inspections of water storage tanks, hot water boilers and air conditioning systems

Qualifications:

Essential

• Sound understanding of requirements under Health and Safety Legislation
• Use of PDA and computer literate
• A good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to interface with people, including clients, at all levels
• Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks
• Ability to be a self starter within a team environment and lone working
• Must be capable of working in confined spaces/at height
• Background in legionella Control with several years' experience in site monitoring and testing
• Understand all the legal requirements
• Must live in Central area, Scotland or willing to relocate

Desirable

• Water sampling and testing experience
• Knowledge of Pool plant and equipment

Salary - £25k-£30k + Van and Fuel Card
