Your rate of pay and hours of work

This opportunity offers a permanent role with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, spanning 8 am to 5 pm. You'll receive a competitive annual salary ranging from £25,000 to £30,000, providing ample room for growth within a respected organisation. 

Responsibilities within your new role

In this role, your responsibilities will include assembling and fabricating metal assemblies according to drawings and quality standards. You'll utilise a variety of tools, including hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, to complete these tasks efficiently. Cutting, fabricating, welding, dressing, and finishing tasks will primarily involve working with carbon steel parts.

It's essential to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately. Maintaining a high standard of quality and meeting ISO 9001 requirements are key aspects of this position. Additionally, you'll contribute to a lean manufacturing workshop environment, working collaboratively to optimise efficiency and minimise waste. 

Your experience, qualifications and personality

• Level 1 Certificate in Introductory Welding Skills
• Level 1 Award in Introductory Welding Skills
• Level 2 Award/Certificate in Welding Skills
• Level 2 Award in Welding Techniques and Skills
• Level 3 Award in Advanced Welding Skills
• Level 3 Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Engineering Technology
• T Level in Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control
