Our client, a prominent global engineering firm renowned for its excellence in designing and delivering water sector projects, is expanding its team in Scotland and are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team for projects spanning Central Scotland.

About the Role:

Specialising primarily in the water sector our client has seen an array of project wins and has exciting growth plans. They specialise in working on large scale civil engineering projects as well as smaller, more specialist works across Scotland. You will work with a team on water projects as part of a wider framework. The client is well placed to secure future works on this framework within the public sector and as such, a background in working on Scottish Water projects would be ideal for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise day-to-day site operations and supervise all operatives and subcontractors to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to company safety procedures.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members as needed.
  • Foster positive on-site/off-site working relationships.
  • Optimise site logistics to enhance production efficiency.
  • Ensure timely, budget-compliant, and specification-compliant project delivery.
  • Effectively manage any project delays and oversee accurate setting out information.
  • Work within budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Site Agent, with a proven track record of delivering water projects.
  • Previous experience in civil engineering is essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety policies.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills.
  • Valid CSCS and SMSTS certifications.
  • Desirable: Roads and Street Works certificate and First Aid qualification.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as required.
