Avenue Recruitment are seeking a QS for a well-established construction client to join and engage in the construction side of the business.
The QS needs to stand on their own feet, handle responsibility, move quickly with change, be commercially and contractually aware and deliver profitable outcomes. Residential and commercial experience would be needed.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure sub contracts are financially controlled, to budget.
• Prepare and send out sub-contractor tender packages
• Arrange pre order meetings, prepare and send out all sub contract orders
• Prepare and agree monthly valuations
• Check and agree sub-contractor applications and final accounts
• Undertake site visits when required

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Ideally, minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role
• Degree qualified / other relative construction qualification
• Cost valuation reporting skills
• Substantial experience in managing and surveying in the construction industry
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience in construction and house building

Valid driving licence needed.
Competitive salary (negotiable on experience).
