Transport Planner - East Ayrshire

Purpose of role:
We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our clients busy hire desk. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials. Your role will involve planning routes, scheduling deliveries, and optimizing transportation operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Experience / Skills :
Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other relevant software
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize transportation operations
Leadership skills to manage a team of drivers and coordinate their activities

Knowledge of moving abnormal loads and being able to notify these loads using Esdal or similar systems is highly preferred but not essential.
