Anderson Knight are looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor to join one of our clients based in Glasgow on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. As a Senior HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert HR guidance and support to managers and employees, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and contributing to the achievement of the business. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs and support the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Partner with the HR team to develop and implement HR initiatives and programs that support employee engagement, retention, and development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times.
  • Stay informed of legislative changes and best practices in HR, providing advice and recommendations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of HR policies, procedures, and processes to support the evolving needs of the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR generalist, with a focus on employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition.
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is highly advantageous.
