Comtec is a renowned supplier and installer of GRP walkway and access systems, including service riser decks, catering to tier one and two contractors across the UK.  We work on some of the most well-known construction projects, mainly in London. Due to our sustained growth, we are excited to announce a new opportunity for a dedicated Sales Estimator to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Sales Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our sales team, responsible for managing enquiries, assessing project requirements, creating costed solutions, crafting tender responses, and nurturing client relationships. This position offers extensive training in all aspects of our company's products and processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to accurately understand project requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive cost analyses, considering labour, materials, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with team members to develop precise estimates and proposals.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Actively engage in meetings with clients to gather project requirements and promote our products.
• Upsell company products to enhance tender submissions.
• Build strong relationships with main contractors.
• Produce tender submissions with attention to detail.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of estimates and project details.
• Log and maintain customer and lead information in the CRM database.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders to meet customer needs.
• Communicate efficiently with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Experience:

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is essential.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings is required.
• Ability to interpret and read 3D models is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
• Previous experience as an Estimator in a construction-related industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A friendly, outgoing nature with a passion for engaging with customers.
• Ability and willingness to carry out site visits would be a benefit, but is not essential.

Additional Details:

• Full-time, permanent position.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm working hours.
