Electrical Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Our client, one of the Scotland’s premier manufacturers of food products is looking for an experienced, professional Maintenance Engineer to work within their manufacturing facility in the Motherwell area. The key to this role is ability to work within a fast-moving production and manufacturing company within the food production industry maintaining and fault finding on a range of electrical systems.

The Role                                                 

This role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Electrical/Mechanical equipment within our client’s facility. Most of the issues that our client has are mechanical failures, therefore a strong mechanical service, maintenance, repair, and fault-finding knowledge is required. Electrical experience is required but our client uses external contractors from manufacturers of their equipment to do the more technical electrical service work, applicants will do repair work on components such as drives, motors, control panels and some PLC work. The role requires applicants who have reactive and proactive maintenance and repair experience as well as fault finding experience of mechanical systems such as hydraulics and pneumatics, gearboxes, chains, conveyors, ovens etc.

The Person

Applicants will preferably have present or previous Electrical/Mechanical maintenance and repair experience. Ideally time served or HNC qualified, applicants who are able to develop a PPM program, implementing from their experiences how to implement this. Applicants will work hand in hand with the external contractors, making sure they are working in a safe and compliant way. The role requires applicants to work on a day shift only which will start at 7.30am (negotiable to start later) Monday to Friday. You will receive a competitive salary of £35-40k (depending on experience), pension scheme, and holidays.
