We are recruiting for a Quality Technician to work in goods receiving for a leading global engineering company based in Eurocentral.

This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.15pm and Fridays 7.30am-12.30pm offering a salary up to £28,000 per annum plus bonus and excellent benefits!

As Quality Technician you will report into the Senior QA Inspector and will be working within the Goods In department performing visual checks on all incoming parts before allocating them to the manufacturing team, as well as shop floor inspections. Your main duties will be as follows:

• Inspection of a range of engineering products including:
  • Fabrication/weldments in both mild steel and stainless steel
  • Machined components to tight engineering tolerances in a range of materials, aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel, brass etc
  • Industrial plastics machined to drawings
  • Other engineered items that have quality considerations
• Using micrometers, calipers, verniers and other engineering measuring equipment to conduct inspection checks
• Use pallet trucks,cranes and Counterbalance FLT to transport the approved items to the manufacturing area to go into production
• Within the shop floor inspection you will conduct quality checks of assemblies to drawings, checking dimensions, finish and ensuring all necessary parts are in place

 
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

• Previous quality control experience within a warehouse, manufacturing or engineering environment
• Good knowledge of Goods In Checks
• Experienced in using micrometers, calipers, verniers and other measuring equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings with good attention to detail
• Counterbalance FLT License would be advantageous although training can be provided
