Responsibilities in your new role as Senior Accounts Assistant

• Supervising day-to-day financial operations including banking, bookkeeping, and related tasks
• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable activities
• Preparing month-end and year-end reports, incorporating accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
• Analysing overhead expenses to provide insights into financial performance, efficiencies, and potential risks
• Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accurate monthly payroll processing
• Reviewing cash flow and contributing to financial planning initiatives
• Compiling and submitting quarterly VAT returns, and managing HMRC processes 

Your personality, experience and qualifications

We are looking for a recently qualified or partially qualified accountant with at least 5 years of experience in finance management. The ideal candidate should hold full or partial ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications and demonstrate proficiency in various accounting software platforms. Essential skills for this role include exceptional time management, effective team leadership, strong leadership capabilities, collaborative teamwork, and the ability to establish robust professional relationships.
