There will be an emphasis on involvement with the audit and statutory accounts process so that skill set is desirable; however this role will also get exposure across all areas of business including forecasting and reporting monthly management accounts to internal stakeholders, management of cash and financing as well as a range of other projects.

Description

The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

• All aspects of the month end accounts preparation for one of the main trading entities within the group
• Preparation of financial statements for a number of legal entities.
• Heavy involvement in the external audit process
• Assist with daily cash management
• Technical accounting support
• Process improvements
• Assisting with preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Reporting performance to key stakeholders
• Analysis of profit and loss; comparing actuals to budget and forecasts
• Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks and projects

Profile

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:

• Fully qualified chartered accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
• Previous exp of accounts preparation using excel or accounts production software
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Be able to work on own using initiative
• Highly accurate and detail-oriented
• Take pride and ownership in own work
• Good IT skills and excel proficiency
• Strong team player
