Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000

The role of the Design Technician – Timber Frame & Roof Truss will involve:

• Design Technician position dealing with a range of timber frame and roof truss projects for main contractors and house builders
• Produce and manage design programmes in line with client requirements
• Work closely with the estimating team to contribute technical knowledge and value engineering at tender stage
• Liaise with Production Manager to ensure all manufacturing information is correct and in line with requirements
• Working within a team of 4 Design Technicians  
• Build and develop client relationships throughout projects
• Liaise with client design teams and external consultants in relation to live projects
• Liaise with site team to resolve queries

The ideal applicant will be a Design Technician – Timber Frame & Roof Truss industry with:

• Must have design experience within the timber frame, timber structures, timber construction or roof trusses market sector
• May potentially consider strong design experience within the wider construction industry (5 years+)
• Must be a proficient user of AutoCAD
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
