Electrical Maintenance Technician – Biomass

MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance department of a biomass power station in Invergordon, Scotland. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance across the site to ensure minimum downtime and maximum plant availability.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Fault finding, repair work and planned & reactive maintenance on a wide range ofl plant equipment including variable speed drives, motors, PLCs, pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors etc.
• High voltage experience
• Providing technical support to the operations team when required
• Working alongside other Technicians and Engineers with regards to plant projects and upgrades
• Managing contractors when required

This role includes working days and nights on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern working on a 4-week shift system.

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A relevant engineering apprenticeship along with a qualification at C&G/ONC/NVQ level 3 ideally in electrical engineering or similar.
• 18th edition electrical qualification is advantageous
• At least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience working in a hands-on maintenance or servicing roles across a heavy process industry e.g. power station, manufacturing site, chemical plant, paper mill, pharmaceutical etc
