Company:

We're working with a well-established construction company who are a successful housebuilder and have a history of delivering high-quality projects across the UK in the private sector and affordable housing sector. Due to a strong period of growth and projects in the pipeline, they have a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all aspects of quantity surveying from pre-construction through to project completion
  • Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and providing mitigation strategies
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure adherence to budgets and cost control measures
  • Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor agreements and procurement contracts
  • Monitoring project expenditures, variations, and valuations
  • Providing expert advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering

Qualifications and Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry - preferably private or social housing experience
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software for quantity surveying
