Search are currently looking for a QHSE Advisor based in the North East of Scotland to join a client's growing team. You will support the QHSE Manager in achieving exceptional QHSE performance and assist in maintaining the company's Integrated Management System ensuring QHSE compliance. You will also be required to carry out regular QHSE inspections on all operational sites throughout the UK therefore a driving licence is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Carry out regular QHSE Inspections on all operational sites throughout the UK
* Assist with the preparation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Construction Phase Plans as required
* Advise, guide, support, promote awareness and coach all personnel with the implementation of the company's integrated management system (IMS) policies and procedures
* Assist with the completion of internal IMS auditing programme
* Assist with the completion of PQQs, ITTs and Contractor Questionnaires
* Assist with the investigation of all accidents, incidents and near-misses
* Assist the QHSE Systems Manager to raise QHSE standards across the company and share best practice
* Maintain, and assist with the development of the company's QHSE Management System ensuring compliance with legal and other relevant requirements
* Identify opportunities to improve existing methods and systems
* Promote safe work practices and assist with continuous improvement to meet or exceed applicable standards
* Assist in delivering the company HSE induction for all new employees
* Maintain accurate records
* Participate in internal QHSE meetings and investigations
* Deputise for QHSE Systems Manager as and when required

Skills & Experience:
* Experience of effectively organising and prioritising workload to meet deadlines
* Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining management systems
* High level of efficiency with a keen attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal / communication skills
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
* Be flexible and have an enthusiastic approach to working in sometimes challenging conditions
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages
* Confidently deliver QHSE training sessions

The successful candidate must have:
* A recognised health and safety qualification
* Experience in a similar role ideally within the Civil Engineering / Construction industry
* Lead Auditor qualification preferred but not essential
* Hold a current driving licence
