Property Manager

Peace Recruitments client require to appoint a Property Manager to be based in their Glasgow office to assist in the management of a portfolio of multi-let and standalone commercial properties throughout Scotland.
The key duties will be focused on managing a defined portfolio of properties which will include daily communication with clients and tenants, arranging planned and reactive repairs, compliance testing, dealing with utility supply queries, procurement of services, credit control, and the preparation of service charge budgets and reconciliations. The successful candidate will also undertake some routine work away from the office such as carrying out inspections of vacant and let properties.
Consideration will be given to candidates with a background in residential property management and appropriate training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with day-to-day queries from client, tenants, suppliers, local authorities, etc.
- Periodic property inspections
- Database management
- Procurement of services to properties in multiple occupation
- Arranging general repairs to properties where required
- Arranging health & safety compliance testing and record keeping
- Credit control
- Preparing service charge budgets and year end reconciliation
- Coding and approving invoices
Skills/Experience - Essential
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office programs particularly Excel
- Driving licence
Skills/Experience – Desirable
- Experience of working in a property related environment
- Experience of a property management and accounting databases
- Experience of credit control
