The Role

Sofidel UK currently have a rare, permanent opportunity for an experienced and forward thinking Sales professional to join our successful Private Label team as a Business Development Manager. This role is full-time and although home based you will be required to travel throughout Glasgow as your assigned area to customers on a weekly/bi-weekly basis and to our office based in Leicester when required. 

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing pre-existing customer relationships within your area as well as have the opportunity to expand and advance your customer base. Our private label products well established household names, our goals of continuous brand development ensure we maintain our product placement within the retail market. Our Private Label team work with some of the biggest names in the UK retail market we pride ourselves on our ability to consult, sell and deliver on targets set. We are in need of a self-driven, customer-centric individual to continue to build and maintain fantastic business relationships and achieve business targets set.  

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Represent the Company in marketing activities including trade shows, seminars and client relations meetings  
  • Understand the competitive market and overcome obstacles with new and existing clients to enhance sales  
  • Identify new market customers, obtain and maintain new business  
  • Analyse market information and forecast sales information to aid the development and implementation of the sales strategy  
  • Build and foster excellent customer relationships  
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders  
  • Increase sales and ensure the delivery of high-quality customer care and products  
  • Work collaboratively with customers to understand their requirements and demonstrate how Sofidel can aid in achieving these  
  • Report and analyse sales activity to drive corrective measures towards increasing visibility and profit

  • Proven experience and successful track record of sales and achieving targets  
  • Confident and professional communication style  
  • Demonstrable experience selling to the corporate sector   
  • Ability to build new business  
  • Proven track record of B2B sales  
  • Knowledge of the paper industry
