Role: Contracts Electrician (Water)
Location: East Kilbride
Salary: up to £38,000 p/a plus package and over time.
 
My client is a leading multi-faceted company specialising in pumps and systems on Scottish Water. They're currently looking for a Contracts Electrician to work in and round the central belt with occasional travel further around Scotland.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·Report directly to the electrical supervisor and project manager
·Work on MEICA projects for Scottish Water
·Complete survey works and build reports to the project manager
·Work towards running projects reporting to the project manager
 
Requirements:
 
·Must have 18th edition and have a good understanding of BS7671
·Inspection and testing 2391- desirable
·2 years experience in water industry or industrial engineering
·Confident using various Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel, Outlook
·Water experience highly advantageous
·Good time management
·Good communication skills in both verbal and written communication with an ability to follow, interpret and explain technical instructions
·Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work with, lead and motivate others, and be able to bring projects to successful completion
· Driven, with an ability to work individually and with teams under your direction
· The ability to multitask
· Innovative thinking, with an ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
· Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
