In the role of HVAC Engineer, you will take charge of all planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks within a technical environment.

Your expertise will encompass working independently, showing initiative, and possessing comprehensive knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems.

You will undertake the vital responsibility of asset management for our client's critical environment within the Telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with H&S regulations, Risk Assessment, F-Gas, Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work, COSHH etc
  • Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within relevant SLAs
  • Ability to complete tasks so that the customer expectations are exceeded
  • Provide minimum 1 in 4 out of hour’s callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota
  • Carry out occasional planned night working as per PPM schedule
  • Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met. Issue of Permits to Work
  • Ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria
  • Ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards
  • Provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Air Conditioning: City and Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 Equivalent

AND

  • NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration and AC Systems
  • Qualified Electrician 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2008)
  • Recognised apprenticeship in air conditioning in addition to relevant qualifications and excellent understanding of
  • Electrical fundamentals and LV distribution.
