Mechanical Fitter (Maintenance)

Hours of Work
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat & Sun - 7am to 7pm
Week 2:  Wed & Thurs - 7am to 7pm
Week 3: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat & Sun - 7pm to 7am
Week 4:  Wed & Thurs - 7pm to 7am

Maintenance Fitter required for a well-established manufacturer, offering a role with a personable working environment, longevity, and opportunities for further development.

The company have a great opportunity for the successful Maintenance Fitter to develop technically via in house training and external courses. You will work with modern machinery, get involved in new projects and work with new parts. Exceptional quality of work is a high priory for the employer.

The Maintenance Fitter Role:

  •          Working at an expert level providing and developing preventative maintenance regimes covering hydraulic and mechanical equipment around the site.
  •          Repairing and rebuilding hydraulic equipment.
  •          Repairing and rebuilding pneumatic equipment.
  •          Engaging in welding/cutting/grinding as required.
  •          Repairing and building pumps.
  •          Repairing and building gear boxes.
  •          Chipper knife changes where necessary.

The Successful Maintenance Fitter:

  •          You will have any previous industrial experience/exposure.
  •          You will ideally be apprentice served, although those with strong industrial experience and certified qualifications are still encouraged to apply.
  •          You will be competent working on hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, belts, chains, pumps and gears.
  •          You will have previous welding and grinding experience.
