Responsibilities in your new role as General Manager

  • Direct and supervise daily operations and quality standards throughout the venue
  • Develop and uphold an operational strategy aligned with the company's vision and objectives
  • Attain departmental budget goals and KPIs
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that emphasises trust, diversity, and inclusivity among all staff
  • Supervise various services within the venue, encompassing the bar, restaurant, and event functions

Your personality, experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should hold a personal licence and possess at least 2 years of experience as a General Manager or in a similar role. A deep understanding of food and beverages is essential, coupled with comprehensive expertise in front and back-of-house operations encompassing staff recruitment and development, inventory management, and food safety protocols. The candidate should be proficient in budget management, payroll administration, and revenue forecasting, showcasing critical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities. Additionally, a strong customer service orientation with keen attention to detail, exceptional leadership skills to motivate teams and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are required attributes for this role.
