About the role

You must either live in Scotland or relocate to Scotland due to multiple site locations around Scotland and the North

Shape what’s next in construction in a pivotal project management role with an industry leader. What you do here as a Site Agent will matter. Not just to the infrastructure and engineering experts you’ll manage or the supportive colleagues who’ll value your perspective. Your work will matter to society as a whole, as you help us to shape large-scale civil engineering projects in various locations throughout Scotland.

What you'll be doing

When it comes to developing our people, our project management team are award winning. Joining the team as a Site Agent, you’ll get to:

  • Manage, monitor and motivate a multi-skilled team of engineers, subcontractors and other construction experts
  • Take responsibility for particular activities or sections of civil engineering projects
  • Set performance targets and carry out analysis to make sure your team are working to the highest standards of safety and quality

Who we're looking for

To make a real impact as a Site Agent with us, you’ll need:

  • Experience of allocating resource and encouraging a team to take ownership
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to set targets in line with budgets
  • A driving licence, CSCS Card and SMSTS qualification
  • A track record of solving issues and to be a sound decision maker
  • The ability to read technical drawings and information
  • To be a great influencer who can build relationships with ease
  • The flexibility to work unsociable hours on occasion
  • To be based in Scotland and flexible to travel to Balfour Beatty Sites Scotland wide

Additionally you will be based in Scotland and will need to travel to various sites across Scotland such as Argyll, Dumbarton, Fife, Edinburgh, East Lothian, Arbroath as well as Perth. Other locations will include however not limited to Stranraer, Dumfries, Newton Stewart.

A car will be provided for travel to sites in Scotland
