4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights and 4 off.)

About the Role:

You will have a variety of types of kit and machinery to work with, no 2 days are the same! One day you could be fixing an electrical fault within a conveyor belt or getting stuck into a large packaging/ labelling mechanical fault with 3 other colleagues, whereas some days you might only need a pair of tweezers to fix a switch.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Carry out plant checks and readings on essential equipment
  • Work efficiently to ensure all electrical/mechanical engineering work is completed in a safe manner
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of production lines to identify and implement improvements
  • Carry out machine inspections, conduct relevant repairs or improvements and carry our preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Provide mechanical or electrical assistance to breakdowns

  • Mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled experience.
  • Open on industry experience or people with only qualifications – happy to train the right individual
  • 17th or 18th edition (desirable)
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with production
