My client is currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to fill a permanent opening within their office located in Kilmarnock. Interested candidates must have the willingness to learn and in turn they will receive fantastic training and extensive support in their pathway to become a MRICS.

This opportunity is certainly one without a glass ceiling. One of the more boutique consultancies in the country, my client has a fantastic track record of promoting staff from within and a very low turnover in staff.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

  • Preparation of cost plans
  • Assist with tender analysis
  • Preparation of cost reports
  • Preparation of final accounts
  • Interface with the clients
  • Preparing Bill of Quantities


Requirements of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

  • A RICS accredited degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Some form of experience with a construction cost consultancy and working towards your APC.
  • Hunger to succeed and become Chartered
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic


On offer for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

  • This position offers between £27,500 to £32,500 depending on experience.
  • Pension of 3%
  • 30 days annual leave
  • Private Healthcare
