Position: Registered Manager – Supported living service

Location: Westbury Park, Bristol

Salary Range: up to £47,000

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Halcyon Health and Social Care are recruiting a Registered Manager on behalf of one of our clients, a leading supporting living provider. Their focus is to deliver high quality care, in a supportive and nurturing environment for nine young adults with complex learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. With a CQC rating of ‘Good,’ they are dedicated to enhancing the lives of those under their care, and looking for someone who can drive the service forward to help them achieve their ‘outstanding’.

The Role Overview:

At the helm of their operations, the Registered Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing a CQC Registered Adult’s Home, ensuring rigorous adherence to regulatory standards on a day-to-day basis. Collaborating closely with senior management and team members, you'll champion the delivery of high-quality services, aligning individual needs with organisational objectives within the scope of available resources. This leadership is instrumental in fostering an environment characterised by stability, contentment, and attentive care, prioritising the well-being, safety, and fulfilment of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assume oversight of the seamless day-to-day operations of the facility, with a keen eye on every facet of resident care plans and behaviour management programs.

- Forge effective leadership through a trust-based relationship model, nurturing a culture of support and constructive challenge to foster positive outcomes for our clients.

- Lead, inspire, and mentor the staff team, driving performance and professional growth to ensure exceptional care quality and optimal resource utilisation, surpassing CQC and company standards.

- Facilitate the execution of behaviour management strategies tailored to each resident, ensuring staff are adeptly trained and equipped to deliver consistent responses.

- Cultivate a culture of reflection and learning, encouraging continuous improvement following incidents, involving all stakeholders in the process.

- Demonstrate and instil a deep understanding of quality care practices, setting the bar high and serving as a role model for exemplary care delivery

Skills and Qualifications:

- Holds or working towards a QCF Level 5 Diploma.

- DSL training certification.

- Possession of a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.

- First Aid certification.

- Substantial managerial experience in residential care settings regulated by CQC.

- Proficiency in staff supervision and management.

- Track record of effective team leadership and fostering good practices in care/support contexts.

- Demonstrated effectiveness in working with clients with learning disabilities and/or special needs.
