Seach are excited to be working with a highly regarded and internationally recognised financial services business who are looking for an expereinced Tax Consultant to support in their operational requirements. This will be a flexible role with 3 days a week in the office and offering up to £600 day rate.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for an exciting opportunity in the tax sector. As part of this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and evaluating changes in tax policies and regulations, and effectively communicating the operational tax implications to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating closely with the Corporate Tax department to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Providing comprehensive support on operational and business unit tax matters, leveraging industry knowledge and previous experience in operational taxes or tax technical support.
  • Demonstrating expertise in various tax regimes, including Stamp Duty, Transaction Taxes, Withholding Tax, or Capital Gains Tax, and understanding their impact on operational processes.
  • Possessing a strong understanding of transactional taxes, withholding tax, capital gains regimes, and international reporting regimes.
  • Having a solid grasp of Operations, including familiarity with trade booking/settlement flows and business areas such as Equities, Stock Lending or Financing, Fixed Income, or Derivatives.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in analysing transactional and/or withholding tax issues, and effectively interpreting tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivation and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to contribute innovative ideas and challenge existing practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities, essential for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in influencing and driving change within the organisation and across stakeholder groups.
