We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer,

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design new products from concept to in-field introduction, with an emphasis on simplicity, reliability and manufacturability
  • Develop circuit schematics, simulations and PCB layouts
  • Microcontroller and DSP programming
  • Provide engineering support for the existing product range
  • Obtain ATEX/IECEX/UXEx accreditation of relevant products
  • Assess technical queries and provide engineering solutions across a diverse product portfolio
  • Participate in the company's Innovation Ideas capture and Ideation process
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the best technical solution is provided in all instances
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, proposals, test plans, reports and manuals
  • Ensure engineering solutions are delivered on time and within budget
  • Take ownership and accountability of tasks, reporting progress to the manager
  • Document and report any issues, recommending improvements to existing products
  • Comply with company and departmental QA & HSE procedures and processes

Skills & Experience :

  • Analog electronics design and development experience
  • Digital Signal Processing design and development experience
  • Extensive experience with high-level development languages, preferably C++ and C
  • Microcontroller C and assembly programming
  • Operating systems: Windows
  • Understanding of sensors, data gathering and distribution of data to various sources
  • Wireless comms (Bluetooth, LoRaWAN, IoT, LTE)
  • Wired comms (Ethernet, USB, RS485, MODBUS, HARD, I2C)
  • Strong IT skills
  • Subsea or Pipeline electronic systems development (advantageous)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capability and confidence to challenge the norm
  • Analytical and logical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously
  • Technical, practical and scientific knowledge and ability

Qualifications:

  • Electronic/Electrical engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience in electronics and firmware development
  • Experience in Research & Development environment (desirable.)
  • Provide engineering support for the existing product range
