Electrical Maintenance Technician - Anaerobic Digestion

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a renewable energy provider with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Electrical Maintenance Technician to cover their anaerobic digestion assets in Scotland.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will:

* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on the companies assets
* Trouble shoot issues relating to PLC's and SCADA
* Respond quickly to reactive and emergency maintenance to minimis downtime
* Ensure all maintenance data is entered correctly into the CMMS and complete any other maintenance logs/checks that are required correctly
* Assist and be actively involved with capital projects
* Ensure PAS110 tasks are carried out (where applicable)
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Risk Assessments (RA) for all tasks to ensure safe systems of work
* Travel to different sites to provide support
* Other duties as required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* HNC in Engineering Practice/Electrical Engineering or modern apprenticeship or N/SVQ level 3 - Electrical ECITB or equivalent qualification with experience
* IOSH is an advantage
* 18th edition is desired
* FLT/Telehandler licence is desired

Personal skills

The Electrical Maintenance Technician role would suit someone who has:

* Intricate knowledge of PLC's and SCADA
* Knowledge and experience of following SOP's and RA
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
* A proactive approach
* Ability to multi-task
