A long-running social care and housing charity is looking for a Registered Nurse with strong clinical leadership experience to join them as their Head of Care, overseeing the delivery and development of their care home services in Edinburgh.

Established over 70 years ago, the charity has grown from a single shelter to providing a range of supported housing and care service options across Scotland – offering people in need a place of stability and safety, for greater independence and quality of life.

As Head of Care, you will hold key risk management responsibilities for the Edinburgh care home services, which provide round-the-clock care to older people with nursing and/or dementia-related needs.

Your leadership will serve to ensure each resident benefits from a tailored, holistic approach to their welfare, with physical care going hand-in-hand with initiatives that promote social inclusion and mental wellbeing. Future opportunities will also be offered to you to support new projects improving internal process efficiency and long-term health outcomes within the field.

This is a permanent, on-site position, 34.5h per week, Mon-Fri (some flexibility may be required).

Person specification:

  • (Essential) Active registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (RN Adult).
  • (Essential) A professional history involving clinical leadership / service management roles
  • (Essential) An interest in enacting continued service development and digital transformation
