Job Opportunity: Forklift Operative in Dispatch Team

Location: Edinburgh
Hours: Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.83 per hour

STEM Recruitment solutions are looking for a forklift operative to join one of our dynamic manufacturing clients in Edinburgh.  

Job Description: As a Forklift Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dispatch activities. Your primary responsibility will be operating a forklift to load, unload, and move products within our facility, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to transport materials and products safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring goods are handled with care.
• Move products to and from storage areas, ensuring proper stacking and organization.
• Prepare products for dispatch, including labeling and wrapping.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and dispatch activities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift license/certification.
• Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
