Quantity Surveyor

Apex have an opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a position based in Either Dundee or Edinburgh.
Working with a multinational property maintenance contractor the role requires someone with experience/understanding of planned/reactive works. The position will require flexibility as work will be site, office and home based.
Main Duties will include:
- Monitor contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale.
- Liaise with Contract Managers to establish project specifications and requirements.
- Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
- Assist in the control of contract budgets.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects.
- Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client’s representative.
- Prepare monthly valuation reports
- Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time.
- Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
