About The Company:

Our client, a local authority, is looking for an Oracle System Tester to join a strategically important project designed to meet the future needs of management, staff, and other stakeholders within the organisation.

The project involves developing routines to extract data from the current Oracle HR/Payroll Application and creating interface software for system-to-system data integrations with the local authority’s corporate ERP software estate.

Oracle System Tester – The Role:

We are seeking an individual with skills and experience in Oracle SQL and System Testing to work closely with Oracle System Developers throughout the full project lifecycle.

The role involves business-critical data initialisation system testing, system-to-system data integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.

Oracle System Tester – Key Responsibilities:

- Work on testing activities throughout the full project lifecycle, including data initialisation testing, system-to-system data integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing

- Develop both manual and automated test cases according to specified standards

- Execute manual and automated tests according to the test plan

- Report issues found during testing, communicate to project team members, and escalate critical issues to the Test Lead

- Be aware of team deliverables, priorities, and release schedules through the use of Jira and attendance at daily test team meetings

- Participate in team meetings, design meetings, and other allocated activities

- Work collaboratively with developers and business experts on different teams and projects to understand requirements and perform effective testing

- Take a collegiate approach to all activities to achieve efficient, effective task and workload management, with a holistic view of risk management and decision-making

Oracle System Tester – You:

- Degree in IT related discipline and/or significant relevant work experience

- Demonstrated experience as a software tester

- Knowledge of software testing processes and techniques

- Experience working to set schedules and creating test documentation

- Proficiency in Oracle SQL scripting and communication skills
