Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for maintaining and enhancing client properties?

In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking pre-planned maintenance tasks, repair, and refurbishment work across various client properties.

Job Description

As Lead Engineer, you will also provide planned, reactive, and installation support to the small works team.

While the position will have a trade "bias," you will be expected to perform general building duties outside of this specialty as needed, considering task competency.

The standard working week is 40 hours, based on site attendance times. Travel outside a reasonable area from your home address will be compensated with prior management approval.

Given our commitment to providing 24/7 coverage for our clients, all Engineers must be prepared to join the out-of-hours callout rota as required.

The callout rota operates on a 7-day cycle, with a callout allowance paid and each call attended claimed at a minimum of 4 hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend “site” for both maintenance and service works in a manner which represents ISS at a high level with regards to both appearance and attitude
  • Perform both maintenance and service duties / tasks to the highest possible standard
  • Report in a clear and concise manner all works undertaken whether maintenance or service
  • Undertake all works as designated in a safe manner with consideration to the ISS Health & Safety Policy, any relevant legislation or code of practice and other persons within the near to or affected by the works
  • Advise the Line Manager of any un-safe situations or working practices by either employed personnel, sub contract or client
  • Maintain and upkeep any supplied vehicle by ISS so as the vehicle remains clean and presentable
  • Planned and reactive building maintenance whether specialised or general as directed and scheduled by the Engineering Helpdesk
  • Installation works associated with building maintenance again whether general or in line with specialist bias
  • Completion of maintenance and reactive job sheets, as issued and scheduled by the Engineering Helpdesk

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Trade qualification, City & Guilds or recognised apprenticeship., NVQ 2 (6017) or equivalent
  • F-Gas / HVACR 2079
  • Proven track record showing experience within the building services industry as an Engineer / Technician
  • Experience of building services, with operation of PPM systems
  • Experience on Mechanical or Electrical installations
  • L8 awareness on Hot & Cold water systems
