Job Title: Site Engineer

Our client, a long-established player in the construction sector, has various divisions within construction, civil engineering, and housing in the North of Scotland. Undertaking a range of projects encompassing utilities, infrastructure, earthworks, and groundworks across Northern Scotland, they are anticipating a dynamic year ahead.

To expand their team in executing projects with precision, safety, efficiency, and economy, they are seeking an experienced Site Engineer for projects based in Elgin.  Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring seamless project completion.

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Setting out and surveying the site.
• Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
• Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
• Obtaining permits and warrants.
• Ensuring that the company quality procedures are maintained at all times.
• Seeking to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Mentoring and supporting more junior staff on site.
• Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.
• Fostering good working relationships with site staff, the client, and management.

Background/experience required:

• Appropriate civil engineering qualification - e.g., HND/C or Degree.
• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor.
• Previous experience setting out for groundworks and infrastructure projects.
• CAD or ground modelling knowledge is desirable but not essential.
• A valid CSCS card.
• First Aid qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
