Class 1 Drivers - CAMBUSLANG

Major Recruitment are recruiting for LGV 1 Drivers who are reliable, safety-conscious, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service. The position offers competitive pay rates and the opportunity to work with reputable clients in the transportation industry. 

Our clients operate a busy distribution centre operating a 24/7 365 operation delivering to sites throughout Scotland. Drivers will be carrying out potentially a number of drops per run and will be based on length of run. Our clients are flexible regarding start times and will accommodate and meet demands. Newly passed drivers will be accepted as drivers will be required to pass assessment before starting. 

Location - Cambuslang 

Pay Rate - from £15.00 - £18.00 per hour 

Requirements: 

• Valid Class 1 Driving Licence 
• Valid CPC & Digitial Tacho Card 
• Maximum of 6 points with no DR, DD, CD, IN or TT endorsements on licence. 
• Candidates must be over the ages of 25+ due to insurance 
• Previous commercial experience is preferred 
• Flexibility to work various shifts 

Responsibilities: 

• Safely operate LGV1 vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. 
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and regulations. 
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection to ensure the vehicles safety and compliance. 
• Complete accurate documentation and maintain records of deliveries. 
• Communicate effectively with transport office to co-ordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
