Company Overview & Job Title:
An exciting leading Subsea Internet of Things (IoT) company who have a new R&D Centre located in Edinburgh (Scotland) that is financially strong are now hiring for a brand new Embedded Software Engineer to join the growing team and business who’re forecasted to grow by a further 2-3 engineers for the remainder of the year.
 
Salary on offer:
The salary on offer for the successful Embedded Software Engineer is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
 
4 day working week and hybrid:
This leading company is flexible in which a 35 hour 4 day working week is available along with hybrid working of 3 or 2 days working onsite and rest WFH.
 
The role:
The successful Embedded Software Engineer will work as part of a multidisciplined engineering team and will be responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation for Firmware in developing innovative software solutions.
 
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:

• 2-5 years minimum years industry experience
• Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
• Python
• Version Control Systems – GIT, SVN, JIRA or similar
• Enthusiastic, good communication and teamwork skills
• At ease working in a multidisciplined engineering team

Nice to have skills:

• Microcontrollers – Texas Instruments, STM32, ARM or PIC
• Experience of wireless communications – BLE, WI-FI, ZigBee, TCP/IP etc
• Quality Management Systems - ISO 9000
• Agile methodology
