We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Planning Assistant to begin their story as part of our Service Delivery Hub based at our Salsburgh Depot, Scotland. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of being hardworking, grounded, and proud of the work they do.

The right candidate will be solutions driven, proactive, possess excellent organisational and time management skills and be detailed orientated. The role will involve supporting the resource planning and administration team in meeting supplier and safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities of the role include the allocation of operators to hire contracts, managing fatigue and ensuring competencies are up to date, as well as ensuring equipment is available to hire. There would also be a requirement to provide administration support to the plant division, overseeing invoicing, client processes, document filing and accommodation bookings.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience of working in an administrator and/or planning role, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages, especially Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on solutions and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and with flexibility to achieve shared objectives.
  • A good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous due to the location of the role.
