Graduate Electrical Project Engineer

MEI are currently looking for a new Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Kirkintilloch based team.

We have 23 years of experience delivering tailored installations and repair works to our local and global customers.

With our Global reach we have delivered projects all over the world from cruise ships to offshore oil rigs and tankers.

We are currently looking to expand our engineering team to help with our growing project demand.

Graduate Electrical Project Engineer - Main responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the directors and engineering team to design, prepare and manage upcoming projects.
  • Prepare project documentation, Risk Assessments, Health & Safety and Quality procedures.
  • Communicate with clients, prepare quotations and order materials as when required.
  • Assist with creating CAD drawings and prepare electrical designs.
  • Liaise with electricians to ensure projects are well understood and underway.
  • Conduct site surveys and assist with onsite work.

Graduate Electrical Project Engineer - About you:

  • To be consider for this role you will have completed an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical systems and interest in the marine sector.
  • Have great interpersonal skills, being able to interact with customers and staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple projects at once and prioritising efficiently.
  • Ability to travel nationally or internationally at short notice.
  • Be an excellent team player.
  • Be good at problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English.
