Job Description
We are looking for skilled HGV Technicians to join my client’s team at one of the UK’s leading fleet maintainers. With state-of-the-art workshops across the country, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a dynamic and innovative environment. Whether you are an experienced professional or looking to further your skills, full training is provided, including specialized courses in Class 1, Tacho, LOLER, IRTEC, Diagnostics, EV, and High Voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles.
- Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with safety and regulatory standards, including DVSA requirements.
- Carry out LOLER inspections, Tacho calibrations, and other specialized tasks as required.
- Participate in training programs for Class 1, IRTEC, EV, and High Voltage systems to stay current with industry advancements.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including job sheets and compliance documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as an HGV Technician is preferred, but we welcome candidates with relevant mechanical experience who are eager to learn.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to undertake further training.
- License: A valid Class 1 HGV license is desirable but not essential.
