Are you an experienced engineering manager looking for your next challenge? My client is expanding rapidly and is on the lookout for talented Overhead Lines (OHL) Engineering Managers to join their growing team. In this pivotal role, you will strengthen technical credibility with both new and existing clients while ensuring all projects are fully compliant. You will lead engineering delivery across multiple projects, ensuring that all outputs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. The role offers flexible working arrangements, with a combination of office and remote work, and travel as required. The preferred locations are Glasgow and Horsham, although other UK offices are available.

My client is a key player in the UK transmission and distribution sector, at the forefront of engineering and construction services, and is actively contributing to the UK's path to a net zero future by 2050. With a robust project pipeline for years to come, this is a unique opportunity to support a growing portfolio and help increase network capacity to achieve the UK Government's 2030 goals and broader net zero objectives. As a part of this dynamic team, you will contribute to high-voltage overhead line (HV OHL) design, construction support, procurement, and consultancy across a wide range of projects, and also help develop global delivery centres to support future growth.

You will report directly to a Senior Engineering Manager, collaborating closely with another engineering manager to maintain project schedules and effectively communicate any changes affecting delivery, cost, or quality.

This role will allow you to draw on your expertise as an experienced engineering manager, leading a team and taking charge of project delivery from day one. You will oversee daily operations to ensure deadlines are met, while also making sure designs meet stakeholder needs through rigorous constructability reviews, a focus on safety-by-design, and value engineering assessments. As part of a global organisation, you will have access to a wide range of career development opportunities, whether advancing to a Senior Engineering Manager position or pursuing a more technical path as a Head of Design.

If you're ready to make an impact in a forward-thinking organisation and help shape the future of energy in the UK, this could be the perfect role for you!
