Engineering Supervisor
Location: Aberdeen, AB22 8BD
Salary: £50k-£60k. Depending on experience + Benefits
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Our client specialises in the sale, rental, design and development of robotic crawlers, underwater ROVs and inspection cameras. This position includes a company pension, and private health care.
Engineering Supervisor - The Role
As the Engineering Supervisor you will be able to liaise with both customers and suppliers, ensuring smooth operation of equipment rentals and repairs, and delegation of tasks to the technical team. The role involves carrying out maintenance and repairs to both client owned and our own demo/rental equipment including any mechanical or electrical repairs potentially to PCB or module level, depending on the system.
Engineering Supervisor – Candidate Specification:
Key Skills & Experience:
• An HND or Degree in electrical/electronic engineering
• Hands on experience Mechanical assembly/disassembly, electrical/electronic fault finding, repair and testing.
• Experience working with robotic crawlers, ROVs, cameras as well as related control systems
• Ability to confidently communicate with customers and suppliers
• Ability to identify faults and debug issues with mechanical and electronic systems, at component, PCB, system level using standard test equipment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes etc.)
• Ability to solder and rework through-hole, SMD components
• Understanding of electronics fundaments, circuit operation, basic components
• Write documentation for requirements, certification, testing
• Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision and to manage others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, suppliers and team members
Desirable Skills:
• Experience working in the subsea, NDT industries or related fields utilizing ROVs, cameras
• Experience in the product design lifecycle – from concept to introduction into manufacturing
• Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
• Ability to understand existing circuit operation and modify as required
• Ability to select replacement electronic components due to obsolescence
